International Graduate Students are Slowing down their Applications
There can be no doubts that US education feels the shortage of international graduate applicants. This means that the importance of receiving graduate education in the USA is not relevant, nowadays. However, Britain, France, Germany do not feel the same. There are a lot of foreign students there, who feel rather at ease with the graduate problems.
Why those applicants do not go to the USA for receiving graduate education? The answer is more than clear, since while Britain, Germany and France are making a lot of different international campaigns for attracting foreign students, they also create special grants for foreign specialists, the US educational programs do not presuppose any grants and fees for international students. In this connection, international students simply do not want to pay big sums of money, whereas they can receive their high education almost free of charge in some other European countries. Remarkably, in the USA there are special grants and different programs only for native US citizens.
As you can see, the reason, for which the level of international applicants to the US universities and colleges is decreasing, is rather evident and clear. Nevertheless, the US education may stand the line if it changes a bit its policy.
